Vintage - Eclectic- BoHo -ReVamp -Upcycle are all designer words used to describe a vibrant style of creative space. On my travels I have seen there are many current spaces in the Seattle area that are a combination of these words. As my thoughts traveled for Throwback Thursday made me think of these spaces and how the vintage can be added to modern spaces in new builds or renos to give harmony to a space.

I find when a new space is being dressed for the client it is important to dress the space with personal treasures family heirlooms and such with the new pieces. I will often ask the client to leave some important pieces, favourites or family heirlooms out for me to see. Then I will review the pieces and try to give them presence in the new space. Sometimes it is funny as the pieces were never liked much and all of a sudden they are loved again. Creating new conversation, I love that. So remember that using something found, revamped, vintage or eclectic will not only balances the space, but brings harmony.

This space has both an electric feel, contemporary and vintage mix! Stunning.
